My corporate job requires me to navigate high pressure situations daily, yet I psychologically crumble the exact second a car with a Red Bull livery shows up in my lobby.
📢 ANNOUNCEMENT

OFFICIAL SRN TRACK DAY [ONLY 4 SPOTS LEFT]
Rookie Racing is hosting an event meetup for SRN for an exclusive Arrive & Drive track day at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Development Track on Saturday, July 11th.
Hosted alongside the IMSA race weekend in Toronto, this event lets you jump out of the rig and into a real race car for $600 CAD—well below standard track day rates.
Drivers get 3×20 minute sessions, onboard video, and MoTeC data. Rookies receive dedicated in-car coaching, while intermediate drivers can run solo.
If the grid sells out, a set of Heusinkveld Sprint pedals will be up for grabs. Spectators can come hang out for free.

Crowdfund Brilliance: iRacing's Super Formula community launched the GoFundMe to finance a full 12-week broadcast produced by Simspeed. The campaign kicked off a few weeks prior to the season opener and has already raised $890 USD toward the $1,100USD total target. Organized by community members, the initiative aims to elevate the weekly Strength of Field race with professional coverage to showcase driver talent. All surplus funds will roll over to next season, keeping the momentum going after the first race at Spa yesterday. [WATCH HERE]
Grid Lock: The FIA launched a global call for proposal to find promoters capable of building its next official Esports Championships. Aiming to expand motor sport pathways through highly accessible sim racing, the governing body wants concepts covering tournament formats, live on-site finals, and long-term commercial models. With global Esports revenues projected to hit $5.1B this year, the FIA is capitalizing on massive engagement spikes, like its 2025 MENA event pulling 111m views. Interested partners have until August 17, 2026, to pitch.
Military Milestone: NASCAR makes history this weekend at Naval Base Coronado with the active base hosting a grueling 3.4-mile layout. Road-course maestro Shane van Gisbergen used iRacing to scout the bumpy, high-attrition track and expects teams to struggle. Teams will face a brutal compromise between ride quality and low, stiff setups needed for grip, making bad-handling cars a certainty. Despite the unknowns of the longest track on the schedule, SVG remains the clear favorite after dominant street-course wins in Chicago and Mexico City.
🏠 Race To Approval brings motorsport and sim racing culture beyond the screen through a mobile racing sim trailer that appears at car shows, race weekends, and community events across Ontario. It’s about hands-on experiences, growing the sim racing community, and connecting with people who just love cars and racing.

EVO Safety Shift: Kunos revealed Assetto Corsa EVO’s new safety system, EVO SR, which rewards close wheel-to-wheel racing rather than passive solo driving. It assesses blame during crashes to protect innocent drivers, though solo spins and wall taps won't hurt your score.
Force Unleashed: Fanatec rolled out firmware bringing FullForce to CSL DD and GT DD Pro bases. The engineering feat optimizes two microcontrollers for low latency and sharpens 8 Nm holding torque. Update the Fanatec App to unlock the detail, though GT7 support is pending.
Active Chilling: Next Level Racing launched the Elite ES1 HYPERCOOL Ventilated Bucket Seat for $599USD. The seat incorporates a dual centrifugal fan system that blows high-speed air through breathable SIMAERO Mesh to actively cool sim racers during long endurance stints.

Relentless Rebound: Lewis Hamilton snagged his first Ferrari win in Spain after forcing massive changes behind the scenes. He credited boss Fred Vasseur for backing his relentless push, which included a new race engineer and a game-changing switch to Carbon Industries brakes.
F2 Reality Check: Guenther Steiner warned that Colton Herta’s F2 rivals are no pushovers as the IndyCar star faces a steep learning curve. Sitting 13th in the standings, Herta made his F1 weekend debut with Cadillac in Barcelona FP1, placing last despite a solid 27 laps.
