I’ll spend an hour going through a replay frame by frame to prove a teenager was at fault for a Turn 1 crash, building a legal case so strong I’m genuinely surprised the FIA hasn't called me for my testimony.

NEWS FLASH

Green Hell Grit: SRN Esports battled into the final hours of the iRacing Nürburgring 24H after hunting for a featured spot in the official TCR entry during the top split broadcast they just narrowly missed out by an average of 18 iRating. The heavy-hitting squad of Matthew Meilleur, Rui Oliveira Teixeira, Robert Sharpe, and Timothy Friis Larsen were looking to take on the world’s best in the grueling endurance classic. There were some last minute surprise teams that joined just for the sake of iRating haven rarely driven the TCR that just squeezed them out of the broadcast split. Next year we’ll be pushing for that broadcast since the pace was there to compete for a top 5 spot in the broadcast.

šŸ  Race To Approval brings motorsport and sim racing culture beyond the screen through a mobile racing sim trailer that appears at car shows, race weekends, and community events across Ontario. It’s about hands-on experiences, growing the sim racing community, and connecting with people who just love cars and racing.

SIM RACING SNIPPETS

  • Canadian King: Sophomore Connor Yeroschak clinched the eNASCAR College title for the University of Calgary, becoming the series’ first Canadian champ. While Logan Clampitt won the Sunset Splash finale to go out on top, Yeroschak’s dominant three-win season and fifth-place finish at Homestead secured a $21,000 scholarship haul.

  • Global Trek: The FIA is launching the Esports Global Rally Tour on Assetto Corsa to double world participation. Qualifiers start May 12, leading to regional shootouts and a massive 16-driver finale at the FIA Awards in Shanghai this December. It’s the ultimate path to pro.

  • Portable Power: MotoGP 26 hits the Switch 2 as the platform’s first real sim. While other versions are marginal updates, Milestone adapted this port with modified physics to handle the console's digital triggers, offering 22-rider grids and sharp visuals at a steady 30fps.

MOTORSPORTS REPORT

  • History Maker: Dystany Spurlock will become the first Black woman to compete in the NASCAR Truck Series on May 8 at Watkins Glen. The former motorcycle drag racing star will pull double duty, also racing in ARCA, as she looks to build on her recent top-10 debut at Kansas.

  • Winning Odds: Success isn’t just raw pace; it's mastering thousands of unpredictable variables from mechanical failures to a driver’s mood. Elite talents like Devlin and Larsen stand out because they control more "puzzle pieces" than others, turning chaotic racing into calculated victories.

  • Speedway Surgery: NASCAR is overhauling its aero package after a "joke" race at Talladega. Fed up with fuel saving, drivers like Bell and Hamlin want fixes. Expect lower-drag setups with engine and spoiler tweaks before the field hits Daytona.
