Ross McGregor gave his own thoughts over at Traxion.gg, essentially stating that Kunos might not be done with Assetto Corsa Competizione due to the rocky, bug-plagued Early Access launch and dwindling player numbers for its successor, Assetto Corsa EVO. His opinion suggests that with the franchise being a huge money-maker and competitors gaining ground, releasing new DLC for the stable and popular ACC would be a smart financial move to keep the community happy and the cash flowing while EVO gets sorted out.

MOTORSPORTS REPORT
In a classic political showdown, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem is pushing back against accusations of running a "reign of terror" from his presidential rival, Tim Mayer. Ben Sulayem dismissed the claims as election-time rhetoric, retorting that the FIA's return to profitability proves "numbers never lie" and that he is not running a "one-man show".
Still reeling from a major cheating scandal that led to the firing of three top executives, the legendary Team Penske is suffering a disastrous 2025 IndyCar season with dismal on-track results to match its off-track turmoil. With no driver in championship contention and its star, Josef Newgarden, languishing in 19th place, the once-dominant program is on a serious downward slide with little momentum left in the season.
The TV ratings for NASCAR's Chicago street race have taken a nosedive, pulling in just 2.1 million viewers on TNT and TruTV this past weekend. That's a massive drop from the 3.9 million viewers it had last year, and with the race's three-year contract now expired, the declining viewership puts the future of the event in serious jeopardy.
THE SPOTLIGHT
Christian Horner: The Architect of Dominance
When Christian Horner first walked into the paddock as Red Bull Racing's new boss, the Formula 1 establishment scoffed. He was the youngest team principal on the grid, handed the keys to what was widely dismissed as a marketing project—a "party team" more interested in edgy branding than in winning. His challenge wasn't just to build a competitive car; it was to forge a winning soul for a team that had none. What followed was a two-decade masterclass in ambition, a journey that transformed an energy drink's audacious dream into a fearsome, dynastic reality, forever changing the balance of power in one of the world's most elite sports.
The Blueprint for a Champion
Horner's success wasn't born from a pre-existing formula; he wrote the formula himself. He instinctively knew that to beat the titans of Ferrari and McLaren, he couldn't imitate them. He had to build something fundamentally different, something faster, leaner, and hungrier. This "Horner Doctrine" became the team's lifeblood.
He cultivated a "non-conformist" culture that stood in stark contrast to the sport's corporate rigidity. Where other teams had layers of bureaucracy, Red Bull had agility and creative freedom. Drawing inspiration from the vision of Red Bull's founder Dietrich Mateschitz, Horner empowered his people, trusting them to take risks and push boundaries. Engineers and strategists were given the autonomy to innovate, fostering an environment where brilliant ideas could flourish without being stifled by committee. This philosophy ignited a fierce internal fire. He relentlessly championed the idea that the team was the true star, a seamless unit working as one. Yet, he also understood the brutal truth of F1: you must ultimately rally behind the driver who gives you the best chance to win, a philosophy that produced incredible success and, at times, explosive internal drama.
A Legacy Forged in Victory
The empire Horner built experienced two distinct golden ages. The first rise to power, with the prodigious Sebastian Vettel at the wheel, was a hostile takeover of the sport's summit. The team that was once a joke became the benchmark, stringing together championships with a display of crushing consistency that left their rivals breathless. It was a period that established Red Bull not just as winners, but as the new kings of the sport.
After a necessary period of rebuilding and strategic realignment, a second, even more profound era of dominance emerged. With the generational talent of Max Verstappen, the team reached a level of supremacy that was almost absolute. This wasn't just winning; it was a near-perfect demonstration of what a Formula 1 team could achieve. Race after race, the Red Bull car seemed to operate in a different dimension, turning the world's most competitive racing series into its own personal playground. This period of historic success was the ultimate validation of Horner's long-term vision, the absolute zenith of the project he had started two decades prior.
A New Beginning
The end of Christian Horner's two-decade reign at Red Bull was as abrupt and dramatic as the on-track battles that defined his tenure. The internal power struggles that surfaced after the death of founder Dietrich Mateschitz, compounded by the long shadow of a scandal that rocked the team, created a level of turmoil that proved unsustainable. The subsequent exodus of cornerstone figures like Adrian Newey was a clear signal that the foundations of the empire Horner had so meticulously constructed were cracking. His departure marks the definitive end of an era for the team he built from a marketing gimmick into a Formula 1 superpower. While the chapter at Red Bull is now closed, a leader with his track record of building a dynasty from the ground up rarely fades away quietly, and the question of what comes next for one of the sport's most formidable figures will undoubtedly be a subject of intense speculation throughout the motorsports world.
His story is a powerful reminder of how audacious vision, combined with an unwavering and relentless drive, can not only challenge the establishment but build a legend that surpasses it.
