Nothing humbles an adult like spending $5k on a rig to feel like an athlete, only to get called a "Cringe Boomer" by a kid named StealBrainRot67 on TikTok. Taking shots and filling spots for the Rookie Race day.

OFFICIAL SRN TRACK DAY [ONLY 6 SPOTS LEFT]

Rookie Racing is hosting an event meetup for SRN for an exclusive Arrive & Drive track day at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Development Track on Saturday, July 11th.

Daniel Morad has confirmed that he will be around and may stop by to check it out that day and Esports Racing Canada has claimed their intent to be there too!

Hosted alongside the IMSA race weekend in Toronto, this event lets you jump out of the rig and into a real race car for $600 CAD—well below standard track day rates.

Drivers get 3×20 minute sessions, onboard video, and MoTeC data. Rookies receive dedicated in-car coaching, while intermediate drivers can run solo.

If the grid sells out, a set of Heusinkveld Sprint pedals will be up for grabs. Spectators can come hang out for free.

NEWS FLASH

The Pathfinder: NASCAR now views sim racing as a legitimate career launchpad, not just a game. Ray Smith, NASCAR’s Senior Director of Sim Racing, notes that aspiring drivers who once looked solely to Indy or Charlotte are now turning directly to iRacing. Beyond creating drivers like William Byron and Rajah Caruth, the platform has propelled former sim champions into real-world motorsport engineering positions, content creation, and journalism. With the 17th season of the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series underway, the roadmap from pixels to professional asphalt is officially wide open.

Virtual Warfare: iRacing and the FIA are renewing their F4 Esports Global Championship for a third season starting October 31. The eight-race, fixed-setup showdown pits the world's sharpest open-wheel sim racers against each other for a piece of a $35,000 prize pool. To survive, drivers must survive a brutal twist: tracks are kept top-secret until 24 hours before green flag. Grid spots are earned through iRacing’s regional tours this summer, drawing 30 elite qualifiers from Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific to chase reigning champ Henry Moore.

Massive Trajectory: The global sim racing market is hitting top gear, projected to climb from $1.30 billion in 2026 to $2.46 billion by 2034 with an 8.3% CAGR. Europe is currently leading the pack with a 35.29% market share, heavily anchored by a deep motorsport heritage. While elite haptic rigs and dynamic motion setups face consumer cost barriers, massive growth is coming from professional driver training programs and official governing bodies integrating iRacing into real-world licensing pathways. Hardware components like high-precision direct-drive steering units and advanced hydraulic pedal setups continue to command the highest sales volumes globally.

🏠 Race To Approval brings motorsport and sim racing culture beyond the screen through a mobile racing sim trailer that appears at car shows, race weekends, and community events across Ontario. It’s about hands-on experiences, growing the sim racing community, and connecting with people who just love cars and racing.

  • [OPINION] Tactile Mastery: Sim racers spend thousands on wheelbases, but cheap bass shakers are the ultimate unsung upgrade at a fraction of the cost. By converting sim telemetry into chassis vibrations, they open a new sensory channel that reveals tire lockups and lost traction instantly. [READ MORE]

MOTORSPORTS REPORT

  • Global Debut: F1 vet Kevin Magnussen will drive Trackhouse's PROJECT91 Chevy at the San Diego Cup race on June 21. Armed with Qualcomm’s real-time AI tech, the Danish star makes his first NASCAR start on the 3.4-mile street course.

  • Monza Mayhem: A massive 12-car pileup at Turn 1 completely wrecked the GT World Challenge opener. Maxime Martin copped a 3-minute penalty for triggering the carnage but claims he never touched anyone. Later clutch issues also knocked out Valentino Rossi.

  • School's Out: Monaco leveled an elementary school to clear space for Cadillac’s massive, 21-truck modular F1 motorhome. The displaced kids were moved to nearby facilities so the new team could build its massive hospitality pad on the tight street circuit. Would you want your kids school demolished for an F1 Team to occupy that spot once a year?
